Visited here for the first time to see Xiu Xiu Plays the Music of Twin Peaks. It was absolutely incredible. Those red drapes! Couldn't have picked a better venue for this show. Xiu Xiu really brought the soundtrack to life.

Wow! What a fantastic space for gigs! I went to see Xiu Xiu play at The Substation last night, amazing! Acoustically, the sound system was perfect for a venue like this. As an audio engineer, I think the mix hit the nail on the head stylistically for the band as anyone who knows them play knows they are both spoken word (intentionally very quiet) and huge wall of drums, synth and guitar. It’s a huge brick and glass building with red drapes lit perfectly for a Twin Peaks reenactment. Thanks Substation for a great night.
